Candidate Guidelines
(1) REGISTRATION :
There is a TT$50.00 registration fee, payable when you arrive for an
interview. This fee is not refundable, and is not a guarantee of
employment. Please be advised that your application will not be
processed until the registration fee has been paid. You will be issued
with a receipt for this payment.
(2) TEMPORARY & SHORT TERM ASSIGNMENTS :
Salaries will be issued as crossed cheques only. There are no
exceptions to this.
Regency will pay your salary once we have been paid by the client for
the work you have done. Clients are expected to pay within 7 days of
the work being completed.
Statutory Deductions : National Insurance, PAYE and Health Surcharge
will be deducted from all salaries and calculated on your earnings,
according to Board of Inland Revenue, National Insurance Board and
other related legal guidelines.
You will be paid only for actual hours worked (you will be advised of
your hourly rate of pay before the work begins). This does not include
time taken for lunch. Please note that the standard hourly rate will
apply, unless overtime rates have been specified by the client, in
which case you will also be advised. Overtime will normally apply if
more than 40 hours are worked in a five day period.
(3) PERMANENT & CONTRACT WORK :
In most instances once you are employed for a contract or permanent
job with one of our clients, the client will pay your salary and
therefore be responsible for all deductions. On some occasions Regency
will pay your monthly salary and if so, we will endeavor to pay you on
or before the last working day of the month. (Please see (2) iii for
details of statutory deductions.)
Regency will not make any deductions, other than those required by law
from your salary should we place you in a contract job.
(4) PERFORMANCE & CONFIDENTIALITY GUIDELINES :
Regency Recruitment abides by the employment legislation of Trinidad
and Tobago as issued by the Ministry of Labor & Cooperatives. Should
these laws change in such a way so as to affect any of the above
operational guidelines, we will adhere to the new legislation.
Though we will always inform you of changes as soon as we are able to,
Regency reserves the right to change these guidelines without prior
notice to candidates.

skills, attitude or ethics be considered unsatisfactory and not in the
best interest of Regency or our clients.
As part of our standard operating procedure, we will check at least
two professional references on each applicant. (Please be advised that
this is not an indication that we have found you employment.)
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in all jobs. When working
for one of our clients, you are required not to discuss or disclose,
in any manner or to any other party, the affairs, interests or
dealings of the client or Regency. Any information you may be exposed
