    
Position: Finance Manager
Job Function:
The Finance Manager manages
the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department and is responsible for
researching and analyzing financial data and providing information to guide
executive decision-making; monitors the usage and reporting of funds and
provides advice and guidance to the management team. All activities must
conform to accounting, financial and organizational guidelines and standards
and to all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
-
Establishes, maintains,
and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control
procedures.
-
Analyzes the financial
performance of the organization and submits appropriate reports and
recommendations.
-
Manages the Accounts
Receivables function and implements systems to ensure reconciliation of
premiums receivables balances.
-
Responsible for
preparation of the annual budgeting and monthly monitoring and
projecting systems.
-
Advises Management Team
of the feasibility of new business ventures; prepares business plans and
advises on financial matters.
-
Responsible for treasury
management and the achievement of set investment targets.
-
Liaises with external
Auditors and provides necessary documentation for the completion of
company audit.
-
Ensures all statutory
payments are made; reviews and completes all regulatory reports; studies
new and existing legislation and financial reporting standards and
ensures adherence to requirements.

Implements and documents
effective systems and procedures for financial record keeping and other
transactions, assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses of the company
cash flow.

Prepares analytical Board
Reports.

Ensures that data bases
are backed-up.
-
Maintains professional
and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing
professional publications and participating in professional societies.

Manages human resources
to facilitate the continued improvement of the department, the
accomplishment of organizational goals and promote service excellence

Adheres to Anti-Money
Laundering policies

Qualifications and
Experience
or
-
Professional Accounting
Qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CMA.
-
Five (5) to seven (7)
years’ experience at a senior level in a similar type organization.
Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities:

Excellent knowledge of
local financial laws and regulations.
-
Excellent knowledge of
financial and accounting standards and practices.
-
Familiarity with
financial forecasting techniques.
-
Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills
-
Excellent analytical and
problem solving skills.

Good management skills.
-
Ability to Coach and
Mentor others.
